IN CONJUNCTION WITH VIRGINIA'S CENTER FOR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY, AND GMU'S INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR APPLIED STUDIES IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The Knowledge Management Roundtable has an exciting program planned for Thursday, February 13, 2003, on Expertise Management. We will have an impressive and knowledgeable panel of speakers, each of whom has experience with expertise systems in either government agencies or private industry. Panelist experience includes systems where data is specifically generated for expert finding purposes and systems where ongoing activity is mined to support finding expertise. Among confirmed panelists are

- Susan Hanley, Practice Executive, Dell/ Plural Professional Services
- Irma Becerra-Fernandez, Director of the Knowledge Management Lab, Florida International University
- Tom Beckman, Division Information Officer for Criminal Investigation, Internal Revenue Service
- Jean Tatalias, Director of Information Management, The MITRE Corporation

Speakers will outline their approaches, the business need for expert finding, and the lessons they have learned. Then the program will provide an opportunity for
panel members to respond to questions from Knowledge Management Round Table participants.

The program is scheduled for 8:40 a.m. to noon, the morning of Thursday, February 13, 2003.

Pre-registration is required by email to shart@mitre.org NO LATER THAN noon on February 5. A picture ID is required for admittance; attendees
should enter at the South Lobby.
