About the List-serv
ICASIT's KMCentral list-serv is a resource for KM practitioners and academics. The list-serv is a forum for discussion, questions and knowledge sharing. The list-serv is subscription based, so anyone wishing to receive email from the list or post to the list must be a subscriber. We hope that you will find this list-serv forum to be a useful resource. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Terms and Conditions
The KMCentral list-serv is a free public resource made available by the International Center for Applied Studies in Information Technology (ICASIT). Subscription to the list-serv indicates acceptance of the terms and conditions set forth herein. Subscribers agree to refrain from off-topic posts, personal attacks, flame wars or other inappropriate behavior. Subcribers deemed to be in violation of these practices may be removed from the list at the sole discretion of the list-owner. Furthermore, subscribers agree to hold harmless the International Center for Applied Studies in Information Technology (ICASIT) and George Mason University for any harm or injury incurred during the use of this list-serv.
How to Subscribe
Full List-serv
To subscribe to the full mailing list and receive each email as it is sent, you will need to send an email to majordomo@icasit.org from the email address you wish to subscribe from. You may leave the subject line blank and in the body of the email include only the following information:
subscribe kmcentral your_email_address
For example if your email address is somebody@somewhere.com then your request will be:
subscribe kmcentral somebody@somewhere.com
Once you have successfully registered with the list-serv you will receive two emails. The first will be a confirmation from the list-serv software confirming your subscription. The second will be a welcome email with information about the list-serv.
List-serv Digest
If you would prefer to receive the list-serv in a daily digest format, with all of the list messages appended into one e-mail, you can subscribe to the KMCentral list-serv digest. To subscribe to this service send an email to majordomo@icasit.org from the email address you wish to subscribe from. You may leave the subject line blank and in the body of the email include only the following information:
subscribe kmcentral-digest your_email_address
Once you have successfully registered with the digest you will receive two emails. The first will be a confirmation from the list-serv software confirming your subscription. The second will be a welcome email with information about the list-serv.
How to Post Messages to the List-serv
Once you are subscribed to the KMCentral list-serv you may post messages. To post a message, simply send an email to kmcentral@icasit.org. To be accepted, the email must originate from the same email address that you subscribed to the list from. Otherwise, the email will be returned to you and not posted to the list. Emails that are accepted will be automatically distributed to everyone on the list by the list-serv software.
How to Unsubscribe
You may automatically unsubscribe yourself from the KMCentral list-serv or KMCentral digest at anytime. To do so, you will need to send an email to majordomo@icasit.org from the email address you are subscribed from. You may leave the subject line blank and in the body of the email include only the following information:
unsubscribe kmcentral your_email_address
or for the KMCentral digest:unsubscribe kmcentral-digest your_email_address
List-serv Archive
For the convenience of all KMCentral visitors, including those subscribed and those not subscribed to the list-serv, a searchable archive or the KMCentral list-serv is available at http://lists.his.com/kmcentral. This archive is updated approximately every two hours.
